Information on Spartan nutrition.

Proper and well balanced nutrition is not only key to getting the most out of your workouts, but it's important for optimal health.

No matter if your goal is to lose weight, perform better in a sport, gain muscle or anything else, eating a balanced diet will help you achieve it all faster.

Spartan nutrition tips.

Drink plenty of water

Eat lean protein

Include healthy fats

Don't ignore carbohydrates

Eat small, frequent meals

Never skip breakfast

Carbohydrates are crucial for post workout recovery

Breakfast is the most important meal. It should provide carbohydrates to replenish muscle glycogen levels to supply fuel for the brain, and protein to support muscle recovery.

To encourage body fat loss, follow a diet that derives no more than 15%-20% of your total daily calories from fat, and consume slightly fewer calories than you burn. A proven strategy for better health, energy levels and absorption of nutrients is to eat 4-6 times per day including 2-3 meals and 2-3 snacks.

An example would be:
7am -Breakfast
10am -Snack
1pm -Lunch
3pm -Snack
6pm -Dinner
